A mobile surveillance trailer is a towable camera tower: a telescoping mast with PTZ cameras, solar panels and batteries, cellular internet, strobes and a speaker. Also called a security camera trailer, solar surveillance trailer or mobile surveillance unit.
No power. No internet. No permit. It is live on your property the same day it arrives.
With live monitoring, it does the job of an overnight guard for a fraction of the cost. And it records everything.
Where a trailer earns its keep in San Antonio:
Trailer instead of a guard: nights and weekends. One monitored trailer sees what a guard sees, records it, and costs well under what two guards cost per month.
Trailer instead of fixed cameras: nothing to mount to, no power on site, or the site will move. At dry-in we migrate you to a permanent camera system and take the trailer away.
Trailer plus a guard: large sites. The trailer watches the perimeter and the yard; the guard handles the gate.
Most trailers quoted for San Antonio are dispatched from Dallas, Houston or out of state, with monitoring handled by a contractor somewhere else.

One phone number: (210) 625-6575. A person answers.
Call (210) 625-6575 or send the form below. A local person asks what you are protecting and the hours you want covered. Written quote the same business day.
An Alamo technician tows it in, places it for the best sightlines, raises the mast and confirms the link to monitoring. Under an hour. Nothing to plug in.
AI flags people and vehicles after hours. A San Antonio operator verifies on live video, talks them down through the speaker, hits the strobes, and dispatches police if they stay.
Month to month. We relocate the trailer as the site changes. At dry-in we pick it up, or swap it for a permanent camera system installed by the same crew.
Four PTZ cameras, a red and blue strobe bar, a talk-down speaker, solar power and cellular, on a mast that sees over the fence. Everything a site needs to be watched around the clock without power, internet or a guard shack. Specs are confirmed in your quote.
Runs off-grid day and night, including multi-day stretches of cloud. No generator, no extension cords, no electrician.
Cameras sit well above fence lines and equipment, so one trailer covers a laydown yard, a lot or a large stretch of perimeter.
Four pan-tilt-zoom cameras on the mast head cover every direction at once. They track a subject, zoom to read a plate or a face, and see in the dark with infrared and low-light sensors.
Video streams over cellular to the monitoring center and to your phone. Clips are stored in the cloud for 30 days for claims and police reports.
When the operator sees someone on your site, the strobe bar lights the whole yard and a live voice tells them they are being recorded and police are on the way. Most leave at the first warning.
Human and vehicle analytics cut false alarms from wind, animals and headlights. You get live view and event clips in an app, any time.
Not every site needs a trailer. If there is a pole, a wall, a light standard or a container to mount to, we install a pole-mounted camera kit instead: the same PTZ cameras, strobe, speaker and cellular router that ride on the trailer, with solar or site power.
Kits cost less than a trailer rental and are the better fit when:
Mix and match. A trailer at the open side of a site and kits on the poles at the back is a common setup for large San Antonio projects. Every camera, trailer or pole, is watched by the same San Antonio operators and shows up in the same app.
Ask for a kit, a trailer, or both when you request a quote. We will tell you which one actually fits the site.
Trailers are quoted per site, because the right setup depends on what you are protecting. You get a written quote the same business day.
The quote includes delivery, setup, cellular service, monitoring and pickup. No hidden fees. No multi-year commitment.
Four things drive the monthly rate:
For context: two guards covering nights and weekends in San Antonio typically run well into five figures a month. A monitored trailer runs a fraction of that, records everything, and does not call in sick.
Comparing us to a national brand? Ask them who drives out when the trailer needs service, and where the operator watching your site actually sits.
Live San Antonio operators verify every alert, talk down intruders over the speaker, and dispatch police. Video evidence of everything. Solar, no power needed. Month to month. Serviced by local technicians. Costs a fraction of guard coverage.
A person on site, which some contracts require. But one guard covers one place at a time, needs breaks, turns over often, and two guards for nights and weekends is the single biggest line item in most site security budgets. No recording unless you add cameras.
Cheaper, and fine as a deterrent and a recorder. But the alert goes to your phone at 2 a.m., and it is on you to look, decide and call 911. Most of the trailers quoted into San Antonio from out of town are sold this way. Ask.
Trailers are staged in San Antonio and delivered within 48 hours anywhere in Bexar County and the surrounding counties: Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina and Bandera. Rates are quoted per site and depend on the rental term, the monitoring hours you want covered, the camera configuration and site conditions. Alamo quotes in writing the same business day, and the quote includes delivery, setup, cellular service, monitoring and pickup. Rentals are month to month with no long-term contract; committed terms lower the monthly rate. Call (210) 625-6575 for a number for your site.
Within 48 hours anywhere in the San Antonio metro and up to about 100 miles out, and often sooner inside Bexar County. Setup takes under an hour: a technician places the trailer, raises the mast, aims the cameras and confirms the link to the monitoring center before leaving.
It is live-monitored. When analytics detect a person or vehicle on site after hours, an operator at our UL-listed, TMA Five Diamond certified central station in San Antonio looks at the live video, verifies the threat, speaks to the intruder through the trailer speaker, activates the strobes and dispatches police if they do not leave. You also get alerts and live view in an app. Self-monitored (app only) rentals are available at a lower rate if that is all you need.
No. The trailer is solar powered with a lithium battery bank that carries it through nights and cloudy stretches, and it connects over 4G LTE cellular. There is nothing to plug in, trench or wire. On a very shaded site we can discuss supplemental power.
Generally no. A trailer parked on private property you own or control, on a job site, or in a private lot does not require a City of San Antonio permit. Placement in a public right-of-way or on city property is a different matter and we will tell you if a site falls into that category. Trailers are not alarm systems, so the alarm permit that applies to a monitored alarm does not apply here.
Month to month, with a short written rental agreement that covers the equipment and the monitoring. There is no multi-year contract. If you know the project runs six or twelve months, a committed term gets you a lower monthly rate, and you can extend or end a rental with notice.
Yes. Relocating the trailer on the same property is part of the service, and we will reposition it as the laydown yard, the fence line or the phase of construction moves. Moving it to a different site is quoted as a new delivery.
The cameras use infrared and low-light sensors, so night is when the trailer does most of its work. The trailer is built for Texas weather: the mast is lowered for high-wind events, the electronics are sealed, and the battery bank is sized for cloudy days. If a trailer ever goes offline, monitoring sees it and a San Antonio technician is dispatched.
Rental is the right answer for most sites because the need is temporary and the equipment, cellular, cloud and monitoring are bundled. If you have a permanent need, such as a yard or lot that will always be open, we will quote a purchase with monitoring, or design a permanent camera system instead.
We pick the trailer up. If the finished building needs cameras, access control or an alarm, the same Alamo crew installs the permanent system and the same San Antonio central station monitors it, so there is no gap between the trailer leaving and the building being protected.
Yes. We cover roughly 100 miles around San Antonio, including New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Boerne, Kerrville, Floresville, Pleasanton, Hondo and the Eagle Ford area, plus sites along the I-35 corridor to Austin. Our Austin and Houston technicians service trailers in those metros.
Yes. Our pole-mounted active deterrent kit uses the same PTZ cameras, strobe, talk-down speaker, cellular router and live monitoring as the trailer, mounted to a pole, wall or container on your site. Kits cost less than a trailer and several kits can cover a large or spread-out site. Many customers run a trailer and kits together, and kits can stay on as part of the permanent camera system when construction ends.
