Your Alarm.com people in Texas.Installed, monitored, serviced.
Alarm.com doesn’t sell to homeowners directly — it’s delivered by local service providers. In San Antonio, Austin and Houston, that’s us. Same platform, local install, monitoring from San Antonio, and one number to call when you need something.

Flat $19.99/mo monitoring, no contract required — while the big brands charge $50–90 on long contracts.
What is Alarm.com, and how does the dealer model work?
Alarm.com is the software behind the system — the app on your phone, the cloud service your panel and cameras talk to, and the connection that carries an alarm signal to a monitoring center. It isn’t a company that comes to your house.
Alarm.com states on its own site that its “services are exclusively sold, installed, and supported by a nationwide network of authorized Service Provider partners.” There’s no checkout on alarm.com and no way to sign up direct. You pick a local provider, they design the system, install it, and carry your account.
So two homes on the same street can run identical Alarm.com software and have completely different experiences, because the provider sets the monthly rate, decides whether there’s a contract, and answers the phone. The platform is the same. The company is the variable.
How to compare providers
Compare what each one charges, whether they lock you into a term, whether you own the equipment, and how fast they show up when a sensor fails. Ask all four before you sign.
What we do as your service provider.
Everything between the software and your front door.
Design
A security analyst walks the property with you and recommends exactly what the house needs — nothing you don’t. No commissioned sales reps, no pressure, no charge.
Install
A licensed, salaried Alamo technician installs the panel, sensors and cameras, sets up your app, and tests everything before leaving.
Monitor
24/7 professional monitoring, run from San Antonio. When the alarm trips, a real person here responds and calls you. Monitoring is $19.99/mo, or $24.99/mo with video analytics and cloud recording. A contract is never required, and your first two months are on us with an install.
Service
Most service calls are handled the same day, often by the person who installed the system. No third-party dispatch, and no mailing you parts and turning you into the technician.
We’ve been doing this in Texas since 2017, under Texas license #B05229001, with 4.9 stars across 1,300+ Google reviews.
The Alarm.com app features we set up for you.
One app for the whole house. We configure it on install day around how you actually live, rather than handing you a login and wishing you luck.
Arm and disarm from anywhere. Stay, Away, Sleep — one tap, from the couch or from the parking lot at work. Get a nudge if you drive off without arming.
Live video and clips. Pull up any camera, talk through the doorbell, save a clip and send it to a neighbor or an officer.
Locks, lights, garage and thermostat. Unlock the front door for the dog walker, put the porch light on a dusk schedule, close the garage you left open, drop the AC before you get home.
Notifications that mean something. Text and email alerts on the events you choose — a door opening, a camera seeing someone at 2am — instead of a phone that buzzes all day.
Activity history. A searchable timeline of every door, motion and alarm event.
Alarm.com also handles fire and carbon monoxide devices, so smoke and CO sit in the same system.
Cameras, video analytics and cloud recording.
Cameras are only useful if you can find the thirty seconds that mattered.
Alarm.com describes it plainly: video analytics “can tell whether an object in your driveway is a person, an animal or a vehicle.” You can build rules on top of that — a tripwire that catches someone crossing onto the property, or a ground-zone alert watching a tight area like a doorway.
The practical effect is fewer alerts and better ones. A cat crossing the drive at midnight doesn’t wake you up. A person walking up it does.
Our $24.99/mo plan covers professional monitoring plus video analytics and cloud recording, so clips are stored off-site and still there if the camera itself is stolen. Monitoring without the video features stays at $19.99/mo. Cameras and equipment are quoted on site after the free walkthrough, and you own what you buy.
Where cameras go matters as much as which ones you buy. Our San Antonio camera page covers placement, and for businesses we pair video with access control.
The Qolsys panel, and who you call for support.
Two questions we get constantly, so here they are together.
The panel
We install Qolsys panels — a touchscreen hub on your wall that runs the whole system. Arm and disarm, see every camera, talk to whoever’s at the door, set the thermostat. Cell and battery backup keep it online if the power or the internet drops, and it’s yours once you buy it.
Who to call
Us. Not Alarm.com. Because Alarm.com sells only through providers, it has no customer account to look at and no technician to send — your account lives with us. Password reset, a camera that won’t reconnect, adding a user code for the housekeeper, a sensor that dropped off: (210) 625-6575, and a person picks up.

Who installs Alarm.com systems?
Authorized local service providers. Alarm.com states that its services are exclusively sold, installed and supported by a nationwide network of authorized service provider partners — there’s no way to buy it direct. In San Antonio, Austin and Houston, Alamo Smart Home is that provider: we design the system, install it with salaried technicians, and monitor it from San Antonio.
Can I buy Alarm.com directly from Alarm.com?
No. Alarm.com has no checkout for homeowners and no direct subscription. Its site routes you to a provider near you, who sets the monthly rate, decides whether a contract applies, installs the hardware and carries your account. So the company you choose matters more than the platform, because the platform is the same either way.
How much does Alarm.com monitoring cost per month?
It depends entirely on the provider, since Alarm.com doesn’t set retail pricing. With us it’s $19.99/mo for professional monitoring, or $24.99/mo with video analytics and cloud recording. No contract is required. Equipment is quoted on site after a free walkthrough, and you own it — there’s nothing to rent forever.
Do I call Alarm.com or my dealer for support?
Call us. Alarm.com sells only through providers, so it has no account to look at and no technician to send. Password resets, a camera that dropped off Wi-Fi, adding a user code, a sensor that needs a battery — all of that is ours. (210) 625-6575, and a real person answers rather than a phone tree.
What panel do you use with Alarm.com?
Qolsys. It’s a touchscreen panel that runs the whole system from your wall — arming, cameras, two-way talk at the door, lights and thermostat — with cell and battery backup so it stays online if the power or the internet drops. You buy it once and you own it, along with the sensors and cameras that go with it.
What does Alarm.com video analytics do?
Alarm.com describes it as being able to tell whether an object in your driveway is a person, an animal or a vehicle. On top of that you can set tripwire alerts for someone crossing onto the property and ground-zone alerts for a tight area like a doorway. Fewer false alerts, better ones. It’s included in our $24.99/mo plan with cloud recording.
Can I switch Alarm.com providers and keep my equipment?
Often, but it depends on what’s on your wall and on your current agreement. We can often take over compatible existing panels, and the free on-site analysis is what confirms it for your home. Check your existing paperwork first — some providers’ terms state that professionally installed equipment remains their property.
Does Alarm.com require a contract?
Alarm.com doesn’t set the contract — the provider does, which is why terms vary so widely between companies on the identical platform. We never require one. It’s offered if you’d like to lock your rate, and it’s completely optional. You stay because the service is good, not because you’re stuck in a 36-month agreement.
